So, I am beginning to get into the swing of the Vegan way. My first grocery run in the new diet format definitely resulted in a lower bill based on my much narrower list of known and acceptable (at this time) compliant foods and ingredients. I definitely had to read labels and take time. For instance, while several Uncle Ben's brand rice choices are compliant, you would might be surprised at how pork or chicken based elements (broth, etc.) are included. Shopping cart highlights included: naval oranges, carrots, onions, almonds, cashews, mushrooms, HEB 12-grain bread, ...and Coke Zero.
I had two back-to-back days of exercise which earned me 246 (8,658 steps, Day 3) and 578 (13,322 steps, Day 4) calories respectively...good to get out for run\jog\walk these past two days.
